Biomass is stored solar energy. Heating with wood pellets stimulates rural economies, providing valuable jobs, and reduces our reliance on fossil fuels. It is, in fact, a very effective way of drastically cutting carbon emissions and in most cases it’s a cheaper method of heating than oil and gas. It does not contribute to acid rain, as biomass contains no sulphur, and it reduces the volumes of waste going into landfill sites, while creating habitats for wildlife. Pellets offer considerable advantages over heating with traditional logs and wood chips, including easier handling and storage, lower moisture content and less ash.
Energy contracting with biomass as a fuel is an innovative and environmentally friendly way of selling energy. As energy contractors, we invest in and operate biomass-based energy systems and in selling the energy generated (whether it is electricity, heat, steam or hot water) through long-term contracts. We handle system design, project development, financing, fuels procurement and logistics, operations and energy sales.
